Bright lights, dry heat and loud nightclubs are far from what Las Vegas, Nevada has to offer. Away from the hustle and bustle of the Strip you’ll find bars, record shops and houses willing to lend their space to a plethora of independent, hardworking and immensely talented musicians. Despite the fact that Vegas’ scene may not be as well-known as other similarly sized urban sprawls, there is a tight-knit and supportive scene that finds acoustic acts sharing the stage with rude boys and old school punk rockers. Bands in Las Vegas don't simply give up trying to find an audience due to the fact that they are competing every night of the week with national acts that play the mid-size to larger venues, instead they play twice as hard to get their music out there. -Steven Matview
